At what point is a legal problem serious enough to take to a lawyer?
The usual moment to take advice is before a document is signed or a deadline runs, not after a dispute has formed. Legal notices, court summons and statutory replies carry fixed time limits, and the range of available responses narrows sharply once those limits pass.
The telephone is the quickest way. If nobody answers, the office is most likely in court; try again later the same day, or send an email.
These details are published as information. Writing to the firm does not by itself make it your lawyer: that happens only once scope and fees are agreed in writing.
